Our tickets were purchased, classes were scheduled, and the countdown began to the Adobe ColdFusion Summit in sunny Las Vegas where ColdFusion Coders from around the world would gather for 4 days of intense hands on learning from leaders in the industry.
And then, out of the blue…
Adobe asked Leon O’Daniel, our VP and head of Web Development, to be a panelist on the customer forum. For which Leon was very honored and excited to be asked.
The time was here.
We headed to The Aria in sunny Las Vegas for our mecca of coding conferences. We were excited to be entrenched in the atmosphere of learning, coding and networking with other very talented industry experts.
This years summit was special. It was the 20th anniversary of ColdFusion. And, being that O’Daniel Designs was almost 20 years old, we had been using this technology in our offices for a very long time.
Then and Now
The event was kicked off by the leaders of Adobe.
We were shown visually the world of developing for the web in 1995 and how far technology has come for developers in 2015. We looked to the future and the forecast of the exciting program trends that were to come.
We learned that 50% of today’s Fortune 500 corporations use ColdFusion technology to power their intranets and external websites. ColdFusion is here to stay.
The Panel Discussion Began
And Leon was seated center stage in-between other well known customers from around the country and over-seas. Leon along with the other panelists answered questions from Adobe Leaders and the audience who had a lot to say about the programing language that they love.
The summit came to a close.
Our brains were full and we met some amazing people in the span of the summit. We are excited to move forward with all that we have learned and keep connected with the new friends and colleges who we met.
We are excited to attend next years summit, which will again be held in sunny Las Vegas, this time at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.
